Last evening the Engine and Truck took crews to attend FF Myles Hoffman’s graduation. While at the graduation the Rescue handled a public service assisting with a dog locked in a running vehicle. At approximately 9:30 pm the alert went out for both boats to respond to Harord County Maryland as part of the Lancaster County Rescue Task Force. Station 80 sent 7 water rescue technicians to assist with this task, while also keeping members back to staff the Engine, Truck and Rescue for any local incidents. While responding to Maryland the Task Force was rerouted to Aberdeen Fire Department where they staged in case of deployment. The Task Force staged there until being released. The Lancaster County Rescue Task Force consisted of members and apparatus from Blue Rock Regional Fire District, Lancaster City Bureau of Fire, Manheim Township Fire Rescue and Columbia Borough.
