Saturday evening brought a response from the Rescue, Engine, Ladder, and Traffic Unit to the 1100 block of Ridge Avenue for a commercial vehicle fire. Tanker 76 and Engine 69-1 assisted in the scene. Crews worked 90 minutes before clearing. As the units were arriving back the fire hall, they were sent to a fire alarm in a local high rise apartment building. The cause was burnt food. Earlier in the day, the Engine handled a motorcycle crash in the borough.
