The Columbia Borough Fire Department sadly announces the passing of Denny Fisher Sr, aka Big Fish. Denny joined Susquehanna Fire Co. #4 in 1981. Denny joined when the fire company was in need of daytime drivers. Denny quickly became involved with being the Lieutenant of the Rescue, active with the hazmat team, and running the Junior firefighter program. Denny was always a proud supporter of the fire department and making sure we always had the best tools for the job. Later in his membership Denny became a trustee of the fire department and was very active with assisting the running of the Hambone's Social Club. Once Denny was done with his trustee position you could still always find him stopping by to talk to the firefighters on his way to the club to meet up with fellow Hambones members. We send our condolences to his wife, Regina, our company assistant treasurer, Jason Fisher, one of our company Lieutenants, his daughter Brandi, son, Denny “Biggs” Fisher Jr., his grandchildren, and other family members. RIP Big Fish and keep an eye on all of us.
