Yesterday was another busy day for your Columbia volunteers. The morning started off with a small fire at the old Colonial Metals building. Crews found a smoldering fire that was contained to the area of origin. Crews applied water and completed some minor overhaul. Next the Fire Police were called to assist West Hempfield Fire Dept with a vehicle accident, followed by a water rescue in Bainbridge Fire Company’s first due and then a gas leak in West Hempfield. This morning started off with a CO alarm. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer, please reach out and we can help you get started!
